I have quite a few "loves" in my life... baking is definitely in my Top Ten Loves. After our very American, St. Patrick's Day Dinner (Steak, green beans, and couscous-random, I know) cooked by John, I enjoyed an evening of baking.
On a side note, I only mention the "American-ness" of our dinner because I have yet to experience the traditional St. Patrick's Day dinner of Corned-beef & Cabbage. I really didn't mind while I was growing up, but in the past few years, it just hasn't worked out, and now I'm beginning to feel as if I might be missing out on something?? This year, John bought the steaks on March 16th because they were one SALE (big surprise), and was so excited about them, that it was apparently pertinent that we eat them on the 17th. So we did, and they were delicious :)
Anyways, after dinner I decided that just wearing green all day had not satisfied my Irish bone, so I whipped up some zucchini bread muffins, and some even GREENer mint chocolate chip cookies! They both turned out quite tasty, and were warming to our bodies while inch after inch of snow piled up outside.
